As Chief Financial Officer of The Burks Companies (TBC), Derrick L. Finley oversees all aspects of accounting, financial reporting, treasury and banking relationships, insurance programs, audit and compliance, as well as Human Resources.

Mr. Finley brings more than 25 years of diverse finance and accounting experience across multiple industries, including legal services, manufacturing, energy transportation, and distribution. For the past 12 years, he has worked side by side with founders, owners, and senior leadership teams of small to mid-sized companies, helping them grow, scale, and strengthen their organizations.

Throughout his career, Derrick has developed extensive experience in financial management, accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, cash flow management, internal controls, and strategic financial planning. His broad professional background has given him the ability to understand complex business operations and develop financial strategies that support operational performance and long-term organizational growth.

As CFO of TBC, Derrick provides financial leadership and oversight while working closely with the company’s leadership team to strengthen financial processes, support strategic decision-making, manage risk, and position the organization for continued growth and success.

Derrick holds a Master’s degree in Accounting from Queens College of New York and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Kennesaw State University. He is currently studying for the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) examination.
