James M. Weisbrodt
Chief Executive Officer

As a partner and Chief Executive Officer of The Burks Companies (TBC), Jim Weisbrodt views one of his foremost responsibilities as preserving and advancing the employee-first culture established by the company’s founder, Frederick Burks. While he oversees all aspects of TBC’s operations, he particularly values the opportunity to remain closely connected with the company’s clients and operational teams across its contract locations.
Jim is actively engaged throughout the entire client lifecycle—from initial introductions and site assessments to the development of proposals and operating budgets, contract negotiations, mobilization, and ongoing service delivery. He maintains direct relationships with clients through frequent site visits and regular operational reviews, working closely with TBC’s teams to identify opportunities for improvement. He also leads the evaluation and implementation of innovative processes, products, and equipment designed to enhance operating efficiency, workforce productivity, and service quality.
Jim began his career as a sales and marketing executive with Zellerbach/Mead, a national distribution company. In this role, he negotiated national purchasing agreements serving major hotel companies, building service contractors, Fortune 100 corporations, and healthcare-focused group purchasing organizations.
In 1992, Jim founded Partners Property Maintenance, a company specializing in services for Four- and Five-Diamond hotels and resorts. Its distinguished client portfolio included The Cloister at Sea Island, Four Seasons properties, and several Ritz-Carlton hotels and resorts. In 1998, he successfully guided Partners Property Maintenance—together with its clients and employees—through a merger with The Burks Companies.
Following the merger, Jim initially led new-business development and expansion initiatives across TBC’s business units. He was named Chief Operating Officer in 2012, President in 2019, and subsequently Chief Executive Officer.
Jim earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. He brings more than 30 years of experience in operations, quality assurance, client relations, and business development within the facilities management industry.
